An education think tank has revealed that £10-15 billion of extra funding is required to help schoolchildren catch up on lost learning.
The Education Policy Institute has published a report showing that 3 months’ worth of learning has been lost during the covide pandemic, due to home schooling, with further losses expected.
Dr. Luke Sibieta, from the institute, warned that lost learning recovery “is not a natural process, it will not happen on its own.”
