‘Aggressive, violent and accessible’ – Online pornography and the rise of sexual violence

The child protection lead for the National Police Chiefs’ Council says there is a clear link between viewing online pornography and the rise of sexual violence in the UK.

Chief constable Simon Bailey says that the increasing access to porn has contributed to normalising unhealthy sexual behaviours.

There are now over 17 million unique images on the child abuse image database. That figure goes up by 500,000 every two months.
