Although the squad features many prominent names, it did not sit well with a significant portion of the cricketing community due to the absence of a few notable names in the form of Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma. Adding to the frustration of fans was the inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav, who has struggled to make an impact in the ODI format. With a rather unimpressive ODI batting average of 24.3, many fans felt that his inclusion over the likes of Samson and Tilak was unjustified. This decision raised questions about the selection process and the criteria used to pick the squad for the World Cup.

It's unfortunate that #SanjuSamson didn't get a proper run in the ODIs. It's about getting the right oppurtunities at the right time. If we go by stats he deserved to get picked in the XV ahead of SKY (in this format).
