On Wednesday, “The Daily Show”’s Ronny Chieng dissected Donald Trump’s racist remarks at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago, where Trump, among other things, questioned Vice President Kamala Harris’ race and compared himself to former President Abraham Lincoln.
"Trump was like, ‘Listen up, Black people. You're always late, your microphones are ghetto, and I'm Abraham Lincoln,’” Chieng joked, adding, “For most politicians on earth, that would have been a low point of the interview. But because it's Donald Trump, it somehow got worse."
Chieng then played a clip of Trump attempting to get granular on the subject of racial identity, including this exchange:
"I don't know what’s worse: that he thinks she turned from Indian to Black, or that he thinks someone should look into that, right?” Chieng said. “Who should look into that? Does he think the FBI is the Federal Black Investigators?”
“I don't think she turned from Indian to black, okay?” he continued. “She's Indian and Black. Like, what does he think happens? ‘When the time is right, Indians go into a cocoon and they play some Drake and they come out Black.’”

None of this should be a surprise, of course. Earlier this week, the comedian Jon Stewart, who typically hosts “The Daily Show” on Mondays, pointed out that the right-wing apparatus has one move when it comes to Harris: being super racist.
