Aashita is a lawyer by profession and the daughter of Karnataka’s Director General of Police, Praveen Sood. Mayank and Aashita’s wedding was a simple affair as the couple wanted just family and close friends to attend their special day.

Mayank set to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023

Mayank was bought by the Sunrisers for ₹8.25 crore at the IPL 2023 auction in Kochi last month.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were involved in the opening bids for the right-handed batter, whose base price was ₹1 crore.

Four-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) then entered the race with a ₹3 crore bid as three teams vied for the opening batter. SRH joined the bidding process with ₹4 crores for Mayank. Both teams remained locked in bids before SRH roped him in.

Mayank was released by PBKS ahead of the auction as they named Shikhar Dhawan as their new captain for IPL 2023.

Besides PBKS, Mayank has also represented Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) and RCB. In 113 games, he has scored 2,331 runs at a strike rate of 134.51. His maiden century came against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 2020 edition of IPL.
