Meta’s new micro-blogging platform, Threads, has gained significant traction since its launch on July 6, positioning itself as a rival to Twitter. This social media platform allows users to share posts of up to 500 characters accompanied by individual or carousel photos and videos on their feeds. Numerous famous personalities, including cricket players, have joined Threads, contributing to its popularity.

In the cricketing world, notable Indian batters such as KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have joined Threads, amassing impressive followings over 25k respectively. While Rahul has recently joined, Pant has already shared a few posts on the platform.

Among many, Australia’s superstar batter David Warner also joined the ‘Threads’ applicatiom. In his first post on Thread, Warner announced that he is now on Threads and also tagged Australian captain Pat Cummins in his post.

“Hey I’m now on threads @patcummins30,” the Aussie opener wrote.

For the unversed, Warner is nothing short of a social media sensation, and his dance reels on the photo sharing application Instagram have been a viral hit on the internet for the number of years. The 36-year-old has won the heart of Indian fans by posting clips using various Indian languages songs.

Following Warner’s announcement on Threads, Australian skipper Cummins promptly noticed the post and responded with a humorous reply. Cummins playfully trolled Warner by referencing his dancing videos on Instagram. In his witty response, The 30-year-old requested the southpaw not to share any dance videos on Threads.

“No dance videos on here plz,” the Australian speedster replied

Pant also decided to have some fun at the expense of his Delhi Capitals teammate as he hilariously praised Cummins for his comment, writing:

“Best advice bro,” the Indian Wicketkeeper wrote

Meanwhile, Cummins and Warner are currently in the middle of the 3rd Ashes Test at Headingley, which is evenly poised after two days of action-packed cricket. Australia are leading the series 2-0, and a win will secure their first Ashes victory on English soil since 2001.

Talking about Pant, the 25-year-old is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, recovering from the injuries suffered during a near-fatal car incident in December last year.
