Hours after bashing the sportswear brand Puma, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma shared pictures from a photoshoot of the same brand on her Instagram account. She hosted a promotional event for Puma in Mumbai as well.

Commenting on her association with Puma, Anushka said, “I have been an admirer of the brand Puma as they have always pushed boundaries and celebrated women who embrace individuality, fashion, sports and fitness culture.”

“With this new association, I will be able to connect with and encourage more women to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle,”
she added.

Puma has onboarded Anushka after a staged social media banter.

On Monday, the brand announced ‘End of Season Sale’ promotions on their social media platforms having pictures of the bubbly actress in their products. Anushka took to her Instagram handle and called out the brand for posting her imagery photos only after onboarding her as a brand ambassador.

“Hey, @PumaIndia? I’m sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I am not your ambassador,” she wrote.

The same quotes were posted by Anushka’s husband and Team India star Virat Kohli on his Insta stories. He also wrote, “Please sort this out Puma India.”

In reply to Anushka’s post, Puma posted an image of the proposal to make their partnership official.

Soon after, the model-turned-actress uploaded a few pictures to announce herself as the new brand ambassador of Puma. Virat reacted to his wife’s post and dropped several red heart emojis in the comment section.

For the unversed, Virat also endorses the brand Puma, which had inked a Rs 110 crore deal with the former India captain in 2017 for eight years.
