Dwayne Bravo voices displeasure at selector’s decision
Despite Darren’s notable performance in the Super50 tournament, where he amassed 416 runs in eight matches, the selectors opted to exclude him from the squad. In response to his brother’s omission, Dwayne Bravo took to social media to express his frustration and criticize the decision-making process of CWI.
Questions raised on selection criteria
Dwayne directed his criticism towards selector Desmond Haynes, questioning the criteria for team selection. In an Instagram post, he stated, “This is NOT acceptable, and I just can’t make sense of it! What’s the criteria for West Indies team selection? Surely, it can’t be solely based on performance?”
Disappointment with Darren Sammy and lack of trust in the system
Dwayne did not mince words when expressing disappointment with former West Indies skipper and current head coach Darren Sammy. He conveyed his expectation of a fair and trustworthy system under Sammy’s leadership, stating, “I hoped for trust in the system with figures like you, Sammy, and the new director of cricket, but the system failed again.”

Message of encouragement to brother and best wishes to the team
