Elections 2021: LIVE
3:55pm – Our very own reporter Chris Lomas has been out at the polls, and you should get out and vote too!
It promises to be a busy few days, get out and vote! #Election2021 pic.twitter.com/XwmqH7xQh8

2:52pm – Will the SNP win a majority in Holyrood, giving them what they believe is a mandate for Indyref2? Watch our video on the continued calls for independence and what this election could mean for Scotland:

1:52pm – I didn’t think we were going to get drawn into the dogs at polling station trend, but the sheer number here deserve a mention:

1:10pm – No doubt one of the more unique polling stations we’ve seen.

Ellie and I have just voted.
We want our children to be able to live in a safer, fairer, more affordable London.
And for that to happen, London needs a fresh start.

12:20pm – The count is ready.
12:05pm – We’ve also put together a piece on our new Instagram page about everything being voted on today!
11:15am – It can be confusing working out how all the different voting systems work, but here’s a quick summary of how it works in Scotland (plus a mandatory dogs at polling stations picture!)
A couple of people asked: Yes you can vote differently on both thepurple ballot paper (constituency) and thepeach ballot paper (list/regional). It's not a 1st choice, 2nd choice thing. Just vote for candidate & party you want – same on both, or different.#SP21 #SE2021

10:56am – One of the most contentious parts of this election is what will happen at the Hartlepool by-election. Watch our piece on the closely fought constituency:
Hartlepool and Labour's crumbling red wall
Hartlepool has been a Labour seat since 1974. Is that about to change?

10:30am – Unlike in a general election, the counts won’t all happen over night. So we’ve put together a nice little thread for you so you know exactly when the results will start appearing…
Confused about when you’ll hear the results? Follow this thread for a simple guide to the 2021 elections! #Election2021 pic.twitter.com/LqSE6oyUXv
