The only Test, which will take place at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, will be followed by six white-ball fixtures featuring three T20Is and as many ODI matches. The series of the shortest format will begin on July 01 whereas the ODI leg will start on July 12.
The previously-adopted point-based system will continue in Ashes 2023, wherein the team emerging victorious in each Test match will receive four points. For every triumph in the limited-overs matches, two points will be awarded. In the event of a draw, no result, or a tie, the points will be divided equally between the competing teams. Notably, unlike the four-day format used for women’s Test matches, the solitary Test between England and Australia will be played over a five-day period.
