Unfortunate run out leads to bad start for England
England’s second innings got off to a rocky start due to an unfortunate run out. Zak Crawley, eager to improve on his first innings performance where he was dismissed for a duck, was run out at the non-striker’s end while backing up too far.
Ben Stokes’ frustrated reaction to the run out
The incident occurred on the fourth ball of the second over. Ben Duckett played a straight drive off Jayden Seales, which deflected off the bowler’s fingers onto the stumps at the non-striker’s end. Crawley’s bat was in the air when the bails were dislodged, leading to his dismissal for three runs off four balls. Cameras captured England captain Ben Stokes shaking his head in frustration as Crawley made the long walk back to the pavilion.
