England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed a revised schedule for their home white ball series against Sri Lanka Women. The changes were initiated at the behest of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in light of the fact that women’s cricket has been included in the 2023 Asian Games.

Sri Lanka’s white-ball tour of England will now be rescheduled to begin on August 31, with the three T20I matches to be played in Hove, Chelmsford, and Derby. After that, from September 9-14, there will be a three-match ODI series hosted in Chester-le-Street, Northampton, and Leicester.

Hove, which was initially designated to hold an ODI match, will now host the opening T20I game. In contrast, Canterbury, which was initially meant to host an ODI match, will not be hosting any matches during the series. This series holds great significance for Sri Lanka as they strive to prepare themselves for the upcoming Asian Games, slated to be held in China from September 23 to October 8.
