Chetan Sharma shares his take on Rohit Sharma’s captaincy
In the wake of India’s World Cup final loss, former India cricketer and chief selector, Chetan Sharma, addressed questions about Rohit’s captaincy during an India TV interview. Responding to a fan’s query, Chetan praised Rohit’s leadership throughout the tournament and emphasized that a player’s overall standing should not be judged based on a single match.
“Rohit Sharma led India superbly throughout the tournament. No player becomes the best or worst after one good or bad match. It’s okay; India floundered in the final, but we cannot do anything. I will not judge or analyze Rohit Sharma and his captaincy based on just one match. Yes, we didn’t score much with the bat in the final, but Australia ended up winning in the end,” said Chetan.
