Labour MP Jess Phillips has attacked the Home Office over its rape conviction record.

The minister for domestic violence and safeguarding told the House that rape prosecutions in England and Wales are currently at their lowest on record.

Kit Malhouse, the minister for crime and policing, said it was “not a situation which any of us should be happy with”.
