On Friday (March 10), Shaun Marsh announced his retirement from first-class cricket. The Australia opener has scored 12811 runs in first-class cricket, including 32 centuries.

Marsh made his first-class debut in 2001 at the age of 17.

The Aussie star led Western Australia to their first Sheffield Shield title last summer.

Marsh received his maiden Test cap for Australia from his father in July 2011. He scored a record 141 on his Test debut against Sri Lanka.

The left-handed batter has amassed 2265 runs in 38 Tests for Australia.

He is among the few to play consistently for one franchise in the IPL. The Aussie batter was roped in by the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) for INR 12 lakhs in 2008.
