In the latest ICC ODI rankings, both Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj from the Indian cricket team experienced a decline. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav takes a giant step after performing extremely well in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against the West Indies.
Kohli, the batting maestro, who previously held the eighth position in the men’s ODI batting rankings, has now slipped down to the ninth place. His spot was affected as he did not get an opportunity to bat in the first ODI against the West Indies, and he was subsequently rested in the other two matches of the series. India’s captain Rohit Sharma also faced a drop in his place and slipped out of the top 10 batters’ list. He now holds the 11th position in the recently updated ICC batting hierarchy.
On the other hand, Ishan Kishan’s strong performance in the 3-match ODI series against the West Indies earned him a significant reward. He jumped an impressive 15 places in the rankings and now shares the 45th position among ODI batters.
Quinton de Kock (8th) and Steve Smith (10th) both moved up a place each in the ladder, despite not playing ODI cricket recently. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam continues to lead the batting charts in ODIs with 886 rating points, holding a numero uno position. Rassie van der Dussen from South Africa is second on the list with more than 100 points behind Azam.

In the bowlers’ rankings, Siraj experienced a downfall. The right-arm seamer didn’t participate in the ODI series against the West Indies due to a sore ankle; he slid from the third to the fourth spot in the men’s ODI bowling chart. Siraj currently holds 677 rating points in the 50-overs format.
Afghanistan’s spin wizard Rashid Khan climbed to the third spot, replacing Siraj, in the overall bowlers’ rankings. However, for India, Kuldeep Yadav showed improvement, moving up eight places to the 14th position on the list for ODI bowlers. His impressive display with the ball against the West Indies, where he picked up seven wickets in all three ODIs, contributed to his rise in the table
At the top of the bowling rankings stands Australia’s pacer Josh Hazlewood with 705 rating points.
