The ODI World Cup 2023 is generating immense excitement among cricket enthusiasts globally. This edition, scheduled to kick off on October 5 in India, marks the first time since 1979 that a single nation, India, will host the entire tournament, emphasizing the nation’s undying passion for the sport. The tournament will begin with a captivating clash between defending champions England and formidable opponents New Zealand in what promises to be a thrilling opening encounter.

As cricket fans worldwide eagerly await the commencement of the multi-team event, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the official mascots for the prestigious tournament. In a move to engage fans and create a buzz around the event, the ICC introduced two mascots, ‘Blaze’ and ‘Tonk.’

These mascots were revealed in August, and fans from all corners of the world were invited to participate in the naming process. After a widespread poll, ‘Blaze’ and ‘Tonk’ emerged as the chosen names for these charismatic characters.
