South Africa opener Lizelle Lee has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Ranking. Earlier in September, she shared the joint-first position with Indian skipper Mithali Raj.

Lee, who first attained the top spot in June 2018, again reached the first position this month. She is now eleven points ahead of Australian batter Alyssa Healy, who has earned the second spot with 750 points.

While Indian skipper Mithali Raj bagged the third rank with 738 points in the rankings.

The opening batter Lee, exhibited great form and scored three half-centuries in the last four ODI internationals. She scored 61, 78, 18 and 91 runs in her last four innings against West Indies.

West Indies captain Stefanie Taylor scored an incredible century against Pakistan women and a crucial knock of 41 runs with two wickets in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier against Ireland. She leapfrogged Heather Knight, Rachael Haynes and Laura Wolvaardt by three spots to move to ninth rank in the batters’ ranking with 676 points.

Apart from the batters ranking, Taylor remained on the No.4 spot with 316 points which was only exceeded by Marizanne Kapp (384), Natalie Sciver (372) and Ellyse Perry (365).

Taylor’s teammate, Hayley Mathews, moved to the eighth spot in the all-rounders’ ranking. The all-rounder played a brilliant performance against Ireland in the Women’s World Cup Qualifier and earned her a rank under the top ten all-rounders. In that match, Mathews took two wickets by giving only 15 runs from her ten overs.

Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma bagged the fifth spot in the all-rounders’ ranking with 299 points.
