Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan during the Ahmedabad Test
The fourth and final Test between India and Australia commenced on Thursday (March 9) at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, with Prime Ministers of both countries presenting caps to the skippers of their respective nations.

The opening day of the game proved to be great for the Aussies as they ended the play on 255/4. Usman Khawaja scored an unbeaten century in the first innings and was well supported by Cameron Green, who also contributed some quick runs to the team’s total. Both Khawaja and Green made the Indian bowlers toil hard and went back to the pavilion, not out at the Stumps of Day 1. Mohammad Shami scalped two wickets for India, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked a wicket each for the hosts on opening day.

During the play of the Day 1, a hilarious incident also took place where Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was seen jokingly threatening Ishan Kishan by showing his hand to the youngster. Kishan came onto the ground with water bottles for the Indian teammates after the completion of 60 overs as he was not part of the playing eleven. But while collecting back the bottle from Rohit, the Jharkhand cricketer dropped it in a hurry. The India captain reacting to it, gestured to hit Kishan in a fun way, and the video of the same has ever since gone viral on the internet.

Here’s the video:

Resuming their play on Day 2, the Australia team successfully carried the momentum and are in the great hold of the position, with Khawaja still on the crease batting on a score of 170+. Although Green fell prey to Ashwin, he scored a brilliant 114 before getting departed.

The visitors currently are 406/7 in 145 overs, and all the wickets on the second day for India have so far been bagged by Ashwin.
