In a compelling chapter of the ongoing third Test between India and England at Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium, the frustration of Team India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma, came to the forefront. The incident occurred at the stroke of Day 1’s play when debutant Sarfaraz Khan, making a promising entry into international cricket, became the victim of an unfortunate run-out.

Sarfraz Khan’s run-out and outburst from Rohit Sharma

As the clock ticked on the fifth ball of the 82nd over, England’s veteran pacer, James Anderson, became the orchestrator of the dramatic turn of events. Ravindra Jadeja, positioned on 99, played a shot towards mid-on, sparking the possibility of a single. However, a moment of indecision led Jadeja to abandon the run, leaving Sarfaraz stranded at the non-striker’s end. Sensing the opportunity, Mark Wood‘s precision resulted in a direct hit, sealing Sarfaraz’s fate.

The unfolding drama did not escape the watchful eyes of Rohit, who was observing from the dugout. Unable to contain his frustration, Sharma, known for his composed demeanor, threw his cap away and let out a vocal expression of discontent.
