Kuldeep Yadav cleans up Aiden Markram in first ODi
While the T20I World Cup-bound Indian players have left for Australia, the other white-ball stars are currently engaged in the ongoing first One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series against South Africa.

Indian skipper Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and opted to field first in the contest, which was reduced to 40 overs per side due to rain. Opening batters Quinton De Kock and Jannemann Malan played controlled innings at the start and sailed through the tight lines bowled by Avesh Khan and Mohammed Siraj. But when Shardul Thakur came to bowl as the first change, he made an impact immediately and picked up two scalps within his first 3 overs.

However, the major talking point was Kuldeep Yadav, who bowled an absolute beauty to dismiss Aiden Markram in his ODI comeback. During the opening over of his spell at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Kuldeep bowled terrific, keeping Markram guessing.

The left-armer brilliantly set him up for the final delivery of the over. He pitched the ball around off stump, forcing Markram to bat on the front foot. Kuldeep’s sensational delivery had a loop and flight, and it went through between the batter’s pad and bat to dislodge the bails.
