He started his cricketing journey during a summer camp in his school.
Later he got selected for U-14 and then also played U-16 and U-19 for Uttar Pradesh.
Before his T20 debut, Jurel was named the vice-captain of India’s 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup squad.
He made his T20 debut on 10 January 2021 for UP in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Jurel made his first-class debut on 17 February 2022 in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy.
In February 2022, the wicketkeeper-batter was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL players’ auction.
His highest score in a Ranji Trophy match is 249 runs, which he hammered against Nagaland.
Jurel is an ardent follower of cricketing legends such as MS Dhoni, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.
