The cameras caught Anushka’s reaction as the crowd erupted in cheers when Dhoni came to the crease with just two balls remaining in the CSK innings.
In a viral video, Anushka can be seen smiling and pointing to the people sitting beside her, saying: “They love him,” acknowledging the massive support that Dhoni enjoys from fans. Though Dhoni could face just one ball, his arrival motivated the Super Kings. They managed to post a mammoth total of 226 for the loss of six wickets.
Chasing 227 for victory, RCB got off to a rocky start after losing Virat Kohli early in the innings. Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis kept the team’s momentum going with some brilliant hitting. Despite their herculean efforts, RCB lost the match by eight runs.
