Naveen-ul-Haq , who had an infamous spat with Virat Kohli on May 1 during the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) versus Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) match in the league stage of the IPL 2023, posted a popular meme in his Instagram account after RCB got eliminated from the tournament.

The LSG pacer posted a video which seemingly mocked RCB and Kohli after their defeat to Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday (May 21). LSG earlier qualified for IPL 2023 playoffs with a win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Saturday (May 20).

In a league stage match between LSG and RCB in Lucknow, Kohli got involved in a heated argument with Naveen and LSG’s mentor Gautam Gambhir after RCB’s 18-run victory. The two were docked their full match fees, while Naveen lost 50% of his match fee following the quarrel.

Talking about the recently-concluded game, RCB suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of GT in Bangalore and has to face elimination despite Kohli scoring his second consecutive hundred.

Kohli scored an unbeaten 101 off 61 balls as RCB posted 197 for 5 in 20 overs after GT skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. But Gujarat’s opener Shubman Gill had other plans as he slammed an unbroken century ( 104 not out off 52 ) and took GT home with five balls to spare.

The partnership between Gill and Vijay Shankar proved vital as GT chased the target comfortably and ended the league as table-toppers. Now, they will meet with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chepauk for Qualifier 1 on May 23, while LSG will have to compete with five times IPL champion Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator on May 24.
