The visitors were unable to accelerate their innings in the later stages of the game, resulting in a meagre total of 134 for seven in 20 overs.
Chennai all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja stood out with the ball, taking three wickets for 22 runs. However, his clash with Heinrich Klaasen while trying to grab a catch of Mayank Agarwal off his own bowling became the highlight of the match. The incident left Jadeja furious, but CSK skipper MS Dhoni calmed him down later.
During the 14th over of the SRH innings, Jadeja was called back to complete his four overs. Mayank got a leading edge on the first ball, attempting to tuck Jadeja’s fuller delivery through the on-side. Jadeja was well-placed to take the catch, but Klaasen, who was standing at the non-striker’s end, collided with him while clearing the area in case Jadeja missed the catch. The bizarre incident led to Jadeja dropping the opportunity. He was left furious at Klaasen, who immediately apologised.

Jadeja gave a death stare and then hurled a mouthful at the SRH batter.
Jadeja eventually dismissed Mayank three deliveries later, just two runs off four balls. Jadeja saw Mayank charging down the track and shortened the length, which led to a miss. Dhoni completed the catch, and Jadeja looked back at Klaasen and shouted again before joining his teammates to celebrate. However, Dhoni had a word with him and calmed him down.
