Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 24h match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday (April 17). While RCB emerged victorious in their previous game against Delhi Capitals (DC), CSK were handed over a defeat by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their last match.

Virat Kohli was the standout performer for the Bangalore-based side in their win over DC as he scored a brilliant half-century in the game. Meanwhile, debutant Vijaykumar Vyshak shined with the ball for RCB and picked up three wickets for his team. At the same time, Devon Conway was the only batter to score a fifty for CSK in their match against RR. Although MS Dhoni chipped in with quickfire 32 runs in the end, he failed to get his team through and eventually ended up on the losing side.

Notably, CSK and RCB have managed to register two wins in the four matches they have played in the IPL 2023 so far and are on the sixth and seventh position of the points table. Both teams will look to break into the top five when they meet each other on Monday.

Pitch report:

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has a batter-friendly track and is known for its short boundaries. The bowlers here tend to struggle and receive very less help from the surface. A high-scoring game is expected to take place at the venue. The dew factor will also come into play as the game progresses.

Probable XIs:

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (c), Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Wayne Parnell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Mohammed Siraj

Chennai Super Kings: Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c/wk), Mitchell Santner, Maheesh Theekshana, Akash Singh, Tushar Deshpande
