Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the eighth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday (April 5). Notably, both Rajasthan and Punjab registered wins in their opening games of the 16th edition of the league. While RR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), PBKS opened their account against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a rain-affected match.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa was the standout performer for the Punjab-based team, as he scored a decent half-century in the match and helped PBKS post a competitive total. Arshdeep Singh also contributed to the team’s victory by bagging three wickets. On the other hand, Rajasthan’s top-order batting was the main highlight of their win over SRH, with Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson all scoring 50+ scores in the game. Yuzvendra Chahal picked a fifer for RR in the game as well.
