In the 11th match of IPL 2023,
Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered a dominant victory over
Delhi Capitals (DC) by a margin of 57 runs. The match at Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium witnessed an exciting contest between the two teams, with RR putting up a commanding total on the scoreboard.
RR’s batting was led by their opening pair of
Yashasvi Jaiswal and
Jos Buttler, who gave the home team a blazing start by adding 98 runs for the first wicket in just 8.3 overs. Jaiswal played a breathtaking knock of 60 runs off 31 balls, while Buttler scored a brilliant 79 runs off 51 deliveries. Later, Shimron Hetmyer’s cameo of 39 runs off 21 balls helped RR post an imposing total of 199 for four in their 20 overs.
In response, DC got off to a poor start as they lost two wickets in the very first over bowled by
Trent Boult. His impressive bowling performance saw him finish with figures of 3/29 in his four overs.
Although Delhi skipper
David Warner played a fighting innings of 61 runs off 49 balls, it wasn’t enough to take his team to victory.
