Recently, the Delhi-lad revealed his picks regarding two cricket players he considers the ‘Greatest of All Time’. In a video shared by RCB, Kohli went with Indian phenom Sachin Tendulkar and West Indies icon Sir Vivian Richards.
According to Kohli, both Tendulkar and Richards changed the way cricket was played during their era and revolutionized the dynamics of batting. He further added that these two players are his heroes and are the two greatest cricketers of all time.
“I have always taken two names, Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Viv Richards are the GOATs of Cricket. Sachin is my hero. These two have revolutionized batting in their generation and completely changed the dynamic of cricket. That is why I feel they are the two greatest,” said Virat.
Notably, Tendulkar is a well-known name in the world of cricket as he has numerous records to his name. The Mumbaikar amassed 34,357 runs in 664 international appearances, with 100 centuries and 164 fifties. Tendulkar was also a capable spin bowler and took 201 international wickets, with the best bowling figures of 5/32. His impressive records and achievements make him a legend of the game.
Richards, on the other hand, was known as one of the most dangerous batters of his time. He played a crucial role in the West Indies’ victories in the 1975 and 1979 Cricket World Cups. The right-handed batter ended up scoring 8,540 runs in 121 Tests at an average of 50.23, with 24 tons and 45 fifties. He also scored 6,721 runs in 187 ODIs at an average of 47.00, with 11 hundreds and 45 half-centuries.
