Aiden Markram takes a splendid catch
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are hosting Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 25th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Rajeev Gandhi International Stadium on Tuesday.

The home team won the toss and opted to field first, and the bowlers did not let down the decision of the SRH skipper as they exhibited disciplined bowling and kept MI batters at bay to keep the run-flow down.

Although the big credit went to captain Aiden Markam, who exhibited tremendous fielding and plucked an absolute blinder to get rid of Suryakumar Yadav, it all happened during the 12th over bowled by Marco Jansen when the left-arm pacer ditched Surya with his pace variations.

Jansen bowled a 129.8kph pace off, cutter and Suryakumar was too early into his shot and ended up chipping it to the left of mid-off. Markram, who was positioned there, flew across and took an acrobatic catch to dismiss the MI vice-captain.

After 14 overs, the five-time champions were three down for just 109. However, then Tilak Verma, Tim David and Cameron Green turned the tables upside down for the Sunrisers, smacking 83 runs in the last six overs to take the team’s total to 192/5 in 20 overs.

David scored 11-balls 16 while Verma smashed 37 from just 17 deliveries, including 2 fours and 4 sixes. Green, however, was the chief destroyer as the Aussie all-rounder went on to play an unbeaten knock of 64 runs off 40 balls, with the help of 6 fours and a couple of maximums.
