Asked to bat first, RCB put up a massive total of 212/2 in their allotted 20 overs. Faf du Plessis was the standout performer for his team with 79 runs off 46 balls, while Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell both made significant contributions with 61 and 59 runs, respectively. Meanwhile, Mark Wood and Amit Mishra picked up one wicket each for the Lucknow-based side.
In response, LSG got off to a disastrous start, losing Mayers on the third ball of the innings, bowled by Siraj. Mayers was trying to defend against a ball that slanted away but ended up dragging it onto his stumps. He didn’t move from his crease, and that proved to be his downfall. Siraj gave his team a great start to the innings, and the early wicket was a big blow for LSG.

Later, Siraj also removed KL Rahul, who was batting on 18 and handed over yet another setback to LSG. However, Lucknow made a strong comeback after the quick dismissals courtesy of Marcus Stoinis’ 65 off just 30 deliveries.
On the other hand, Nicholas Pooran hammered a fiery 62 off 19 balls to keep his team alive in the run chase but soon fell victim to Siraj. The 29-year-old fast-bowler ended his quota of four overs with three wickets and gave away only 22 runs. Apart from Siraj, Wayne Parnell also picked up two wickets for RCB.
Although the Bangalore-based team will be happy with the performance of Siraj, LSG took the game down to the wire and won it by 1 wicket.
