Virat Kohli meets Ricky Ponting and his son
Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, RCB star Virat Kohli had a meeting with DC head coach Ricky Ponting and his son at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.

Notably, the match between the Challengers and the Capitals is scheduled to take place in the afternoon game of a double-header on Saturday.

During the meeting, Ponting’s son, Fletcher William, was filled with admiration for the renowned Indian batter as he continuously gazed at Kohli during their encounter.

The former RCB skipper even reminisced about their previous encounter when he met Fletcher in Australia. Later on, Ponting and Kohli later shared a joke and had a laugh together as the little guy continued looking at the RCB star.

The Delhi-based team has been struggling in their last four matches due to a collective failure of their batting and bowling departments. Adding to their woes, their captain Rishabh Pant was unavailable due to injuries sustained in a road accident.

Furthermore, David Warner has not been able to lead the team effectively or perform well with the bat. It’s clear that the team needs to focus on playing good cricket rather than relying on luck. The Capitals have played 4 games so far and lost all of them to be placed at the bottom of the points table.

Similarly, the Challengers are placed at the 7th spot. They started well in the ongoing season with a home win over the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI). But RCB suffered two consecutive defeats in their last two games against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
