Rohit Sharma’s aggressive start​


Earlier in the match, former MI skipper Rohit Sharma set the tone for his team with a blistering innings, scoring 49 off 27 deliveries. His aggressive approach ensured MI a strong start in the powerplay overs, with no DC bowler spared from his onslaught. Rohit’s innings was characterized by six boundaries and three maximums, as he kept the DC bowlers under constant pressure. Khaleel Ahmed, Ishant Sharma, Jhye Richardson and Lalit Yadav all felt the heat during the powerplay overs, with Rohit punishing any loose deliveries with authority.

Nevertheless, Axar once again proved to be the nemesis for MI, ending Rohit’s innings with figures of 2/35 in his four overs. Axar’s timely breakthroughs halted MI’s momentum, ensuring that DC maintained control over the proceedings.
