A total of 1214 cricketers from across the globe will go under the hammer in the IPL 2022 mega auction, scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

According to a press release issued by the BCCI, the list includes 270 capped, 903 uncapped and 41 associate players from 10 different countries.

Australia (59) has registered the most number of players for the upcoming auction, followed by South Africa (48) and West Indies (41). Apart from the usual nations in form of England, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, players from Nepal, the United States of America (USA), Ireland, and Zimbabwe have also registered themselves for the auction.

For all practical purposes, the list of players should be considered final. However, the BCCI has told the franchises that if they want any inclusions in the register list, they can send the names latest by January 25. Besides, each team has been given time until January 28 to send the final list of players that they want to be included in the auction.
