There is no denying that fast bowling has always been a huge concern for Team India. Unlike many other countries, Indian pacers don’t produce enough speed to puzzle the batters. The majority of them bowl in the region of early 130s kmph.

However, in recent times, some pacers have emerged for the Men in Blue carrying good amount of pace and can be categorised as tearaway fast bowlers. These speedsters can deliver in excess of mid 140s kmph quite regularly.

Not so long ago, Umran Malik burst onto the scenes, impressing one and all with his extreme pace. He was one of the standout bowlers in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and finished in the tournament as the fourth-highest wicket-taker.

More than Umran’s tally of wickets, it was his raw pace that caught everyone’s eye. The right-arm pacer constantly crossed the 150 kmph mark on the speedometer, something which is not ordinary among the Indian bowlers’ fraternity.

Now a video of another young pacer from Kashmir is getting viral with claims that he constantly breaches the 150 kmph mark in the domestic circuit. In the viral video, Waseem Bashir can be spotted dropping absolute thunderbolts to trouble the batters.

A journalist named Mohsin Kamal has shared the video on his Twitter handle, which showed Bashir bowling deadly bouncers in domestic cricket.

“Next 150kmph from Kashmir! Are there more Umran Maliks in J&K? Yes, this is Waseem Bashir, a 22-year-old pacer from Kashmir, who probably bowls over 145kmph (could even be 150kmph+)! He is a part of the J&K U-25 team and has been scaring batters with pace! #IPL teams take note,” Kamal captioned the video.

Notably, the mini-auction of the cash-rich league will take place in Kochi on December 23, and Bashir can attract some attention from IPL franchises.
