It is worth mentioning that Taylor recently announced his retirement from international cricket in 2021. The right-handed batter called time on his career with 7683 Test runs, 8607 ODI runs and 1909 T20I runs.
Speaking of the squad of the Seattle Orcas, the star-studded team features the likes of Quinton de Kock, Mitchell Marsh, Dasun Shanaka, Wayne Parnell and Sikandar Raza. They also picked Harmeet Singh, Angelo Perera, Shehan Jayasuriya, Shubham Ranjane and other domestic players in MLC 2023 draft held earlier in March this year. However, the captain of the team is yet to be announced by the franchise.
The Seattle-based team is owned by the GMR group in partnership with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The same GMR group owns the DC franchise in IPL as well. In the first-ever edition of the MLC 2023 that commences from July 13 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Seattle Orcas will be starting their campaign in the event against Washington Freedom on July 15.
