Therefore, to help participating teams prepare for the main event, the ICC organized warm-up fixtures that kicked off on September 29, giving them a crucial opportunity to acclimatize to the Indian conditions and fine-tune their strategies.

As the cricketing world turns its gaze towards these warm-up encounters, the spotlight is set to shine on the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram next as New Zealand are all set to lock horns with South Africa in the seventh warm-up match. New Zealand enters this match following a successful warm-up encounter against Pakistan. Meanwhile, South Africa’s opening practice match against Afghanistan was abandoned due to rain, and they would look to make the most of this opportunity.

Additionally, the previous two warm-up game games that this venue was scheduled to host were both called off due to persistent rain.
