Quinton’s remarkable journey in the ODI World Cup 2023 has left the cricketing world in awe. With a stunning total of 545 runs in just seven matches, the left-handed batter has emerged as a true batting sensation.

On the other side, Rassie is also leaving no stone unturned to blotch his presence in the cricketing carnival. The right-handed batter has scored 353 runs in seven matches, with a classy average of 50.43.

South Africa posts a mammoth total against New Zealand​


The Proteas initiated their innings cautiously, gradually picking up the pace. The opening batters contributed 38 runs for the first wicket, followed by the departure of skipper Temba Bavuma for 24.

However, what ensued was the De Kock and van der Dussen’ show, rewriting records with every stroke. Their formidable partnership of 200 runs for the second wicket left the Blackcaps reeling, especially after losing Matt Henry to a right hamstring injury. De Kock notched up 114 runs, while van der Dussen displayed brilliance with a scintillating 133 off 118 deliveries.

In the later stages, a spectacular performance by David Miller added 53 runs off just 30 balls, propelling their side well beyond the 350-run mark. South Africa concluded their innings with a formidable total of 357/4 in the allotted 50 overs.
