The story behind jersey number 77
In addition to sharing his cricketing influences, Gill also offered an intriguing glimpse into the story behind his choice of jersey number, 77.
“The reason behind getting the jersey number 77 was that, during the U-19 World Cup, I wanted the no. 7 but it wasn’t available, so I took two 7s,” the Fazilka-born cricketer concluded.
Sensational 2023 for Gill
Gill’s journey in the CWC 2023 has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows, including his initial absence from the team’s first two games due to dengue.
