However, Clarity emerged when Indian cricketer Shubman Gill disclosed the recipient of Shami’s unique gesture.

Shubman Gill’s revelation​


In a post-match statement, Gill revealed that Shami’s act was a heartfelt tribute to Indian bowling coach, Paras Mhambarey, as he does not have hair on his head.

“Shami was pointing towards our bowling coach. He doesn’t have any hair on his head and it was to Paras Sir,” stated Shubman.
