Batting first, Zimbabwe Women put up a total of 111 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Chipo Mugeri and Sharne Mayers both scored 20 runs each, while Mary-Anne Musonda was the highest scorer with 28 runs.
Onnicha Kamchomphu was the pick of the bowlers for Thailand Women, taking 3 wickets for just 20 runs in her 4 overs.
Chasing the paltry target of 112 runs, Thailand Women got off to a solid start with opener Natthakan Chantham scoring a brilliant half-century, hitting 10 boundaries during her 53-ball innings.
Nattaya Boochatham also played a crucial knock of 25 runs off just 17 balls. Thailand Women chased down the target in 16.4 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
Kellies Ndlovu and Loren Tshuma were the only Zimbabwe Women bowlers to take a wicket each, but they couldn’t stop Thailand Women from winning the match comfortably.
Earlier, Zimbabwe won the opening match by 24 runs before Thailand came back and registered a 5-wicket win in the rescheduled 2nd T20I to set up the series decider. Before the T20I leg, Thailand had whitewashed Zimbabwe in the ODI series 3-0.
