India’s talismanic batter Virat Kohli and his comparison with Pakistan players is not new at all. Over the years, fans have drawn comparisons between Kohli and many other cricketers across the border.

Pakistan team’s current skipper Babar Azam is one name who often gets compared with former India captain, but this time it’s Khurram Manzoor who claimed that his List A conversion rate is better than Kohli, and he stands next to no one in the format.

Kohli is one of the greatest batters of all time and most successful Test captain of India. He has 74 international centuries to his name and is only 26 tons away from equaling the record of Sachin Tendulkar’s 100 international centuries.

Pakistan’s Manzoor, who has appeared for the national side in sixteen Tests, seven ODIs and three T20Is, came out in public and made a bold statement that he is better than Kohli. He made the statement on the Youtube channel of Nadir Ali.

“I am not comparing myself with Virat Kohli. Fact is, in 50-overs cricket, whoever is there in the top 10, I am the world no.1, after me stands Kohli,” said Manzoor.

“My conversion rate in List A cricket is better than him. He scores a century every six innings. I score a century in every 5.68 innings. And based on my average of 53, over the last 10 years, I am ranked fifth in the world in List A cricket,” he added

Talking about the List A stats of both the cricketers, Khurram has scored 7922 runs in 166 List A matches consisting of 27 hundred at an average of 53.52. Meanwhile, Kohli has played 305 List A matches which include 50 centuries at an average of 56.55.

Kohli will next be seen in action on February 9 when India face Australia in the first Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023.
