Recently, the new franchises have officially revealed the list of those three players they have roped in ahead of the forthcoming auction. The RP Sanjiv Goenka-owned Lucknow went with KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi. Both Rahul and Bishnoi were part of Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the last season of the cash-rich league, while Stoinis was a member of Delhi Capitals (DC).
Similarly, Ahmedabad have roped in star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, ace spinner Rashid Khan and aspirational opener Shubman Gill. Hardik was a crucial member of five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI), while Rashid was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Likewise, Gill represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the previous edition of the lucrative league.
Notably, all 10 teams were allotted a purse of INR 90 crore. The other eight teams utilised it after revealing the list of players they retained, while the two new sided made use of purse for drafting the three players.
