Rahul Tewatia's wedding night
Cricketer Rahul Tewatia tied knots with his fiancée Ridhi Panu in a star-studded ceremony on Tuesday. Notably, Tewaita got engaged in February earlier this year. Several cricketers, including Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shikhar Dhawan and Nitish Rana, attended Tewatia’s wedding.

The 28-year-old represented Haryana in Domestic cricket and played for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Earlier this year, Tewatia got a maiden call in the national squad for the five-match T20I series against England for his outstanding performance in the IPL 2021. In the 9th match of IPL 2021, he scored 53 off 31 runs and chased down a big target of 224-runs made by Punjab Kings (PBKS). Initially, he scored eight runs off the first 19 balls and then accumulated 45 runs off in the next 12 balls. The left-hand all-rounder smashed seven sixes in that match, including five maximums in the 17th over by pacer Sheldon Cottrell.

Tewatia made his IPL debut in 2014. Apart from playing for the Jaipur-based franchise, he has played for Delhi Capitals(DC) and PBKS (then Kings XI Punjab). After Jofra Archer, the all-rounder was the second-highest wicket-taker for the Pink army in the IPL 2020 season.

The leg-spinner had a mild season in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He took only four wickets out of five matches and scored only 50 runs in the tournament.

Tewatia made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2013-14. He was applauded for his great performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2016-17.

Tewatia will play in the upcoming Vijay Hazare trophy for Haryana, starting on December 8, 2021. Haryana are in group C and will play their first match against Hyderabad at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mohali on December 8.
