The government has announced sweeping reforms to the way the railways in the UK are run, in the largest changes since the 1990s.
Great British Railways will be a state-run company in charge of setting timetables, prices, selling tickets and managing infrastructure.
Rail expert and journalist Christian Wolmar welcomed the decision, but said: “Whether it improves it [railways] or not is a matter of money.”
