Glenn Maxwell and wife Vini Raman set to become parents
Australian superstar Glenn Maxwell, who is currently representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, has received some wonderful news ahead of his side’s next game against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Saturday.

On her social media platform, Vini Raman, Maxwell’s significant other, made an announcement that the power couple, are expecting their first child in September of this year.

“Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023,” Vini wrote on her post on Instagram.

“It’s so important for us to acknowledge this journey has not been the smoothest or easiest. I know first hand how painful it can be to see posts like these wondering if and when your time will be. We send our love and strength to other couples who are struggling with fertility or loss,” she added.

It is worth mentioning that Vini called the child a ‘rainbow baby’ which refers to a baby born subsequent to a miscarriage, stillbirth or the death of an infant from natural causes. It symbolises the rainbow that happens after a storm

Maxwell and his wife Vini, who is of Indian descent, exchanged their wedding vows in a Christian and Tamil ceremony before the IPL 2022 season. Vini, a pharmacist by profession, is located in Melbourne.

Playing for RCB in the ongoing 16th season of the lucrative league, Maxwell is having a satisfying performance with the bat. He has accumulated 330 runs in 11 matches for the franchise and has smashed four half-centuries.

Notably, RCB’s chances of securing a spot in the playoffs have taken a significant blow following their loss to Mumbai Indians. They are currently placed at the seventh place on the IPL Points Table, having acquired 10 points in 11 matches.

In order to remain alive in the competition, the Faf du Plessis-led Bangalore will have to win their remaining matches convincingly. Their qualification will still depend on the net run rate and results of other franchises.
