New Zealand Women defeated South Africa Women in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) by 6 wickets. The victory helped the White Ferns avoid series whitewash, having faced defeats in the opening two games.

Marizanne Kapp shines for South Africa​


The South Africa Women’s team managed to post a total of 209 runs in 44.3 overs. Veteran cricketer Marizanne Kapp was the standout performer for the Proteas, scoring 72 runs off 73 balls. However, the rest of the batting order struggled to make significant contributions.

The New Zealand Women’s bowlers put up a commendable performance. Lea Tahuhu and Sophie Devine were the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets each. New Zealand Women’s bowling unit managed to restrict South Africa to a modest total.

Amelia Kerr guides New Zealand to victory​


Chasing a target of 210 runs, New Zealand Women showed great resilience and achieved victory by scoring 210 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 43.2 overs. Star batter Amelia Kerr was the star of the innings, smashing a brilliant century.

She scored an unbeaten 100 off 117 balls. Her partnership with Brooke Halliday, who contributed 37 runs, played a pivotal role in New Zealand’s successful chase. New Zealand Women secured a victory by 6 wickets.
