Jacob Rees-Mogg referred to Sajid Javid as the “Jack Grealish of politics” today in the House of Commons.
Responding to questions about the former health secretary, Matt Hancock, the leader of the house referenced England’s 2-0 win over Germany by calling Sajid Javid a “super-sub”.
Returning to his more usual style, Rees-Mogg went on to quote poet John Dryden, saying: “Great wits are sure to madness near allied and thin partitions do their bounds divide.”
