Earlier, according to the NewsWire, Wanindu Hasaranga, a star all-rounder and the captain of the B-Love Kandy team in the LPL, also took bold stance in advocating for improved pitch conditions in Colombo. Hasaranga’s concerns are specifically directed towards the slow-paced nature of the pitches allocated for LPL fixtures in the city. He has stressed the importance of having pitch surfaces that match the fast-paced and dynamic nature of T20 cricket.
Kusal Mendis, captain of the Dambulla Aura team, had echoed similar concerns regarding pitch conditions. He has emphasized the necessity of finding a balance between the bat and the ball to ensure a captivating contest that keeps both players and fans engaged.
