Shubman Gill responds to the reports of him having a crush on Rashmika Mandanna

Opening batter Shubman Gill is currently part of the Indian team competing against the Aussies in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Gill replaced out-of-form KL Rahul in the third Test which was played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Australia’s stand-in skipper Steve Smith guided his troops to a nine wicket victory and the visitors booked their birth in the 2021-23 World Test Championship (WTC) final.

In the meantime, reports emerged that Gill has confessed of having a crush on South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna.

“In a recent media interaction, Shubman Gill was asked about the actress he like the most. Initially, Shuman tried to avoid answering the question by laughing it off but when proper further, he named Rashmika Mandanna and said that he has a crush on her.

The news that Shubman Gill has a think for Rashmika has gone viral and fans of Rashmika are trending it on social media. Rashmika has not yet responded to Shubman’s statement and fans are waiting to see how Rashmika would react to this,”

Gill’s response to the media reports​


Gill, whose name was earlier linked with Sara Tendulkar (daughter of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar) and Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, has now debunked the rumours of him having a secret crush on Rashmika.

“Which media interaction was this, that I myself don’t know about?” Gill commented under the media outlet post.

According to Gill’s teammates, Shubman and Sara are just good friends and will stay that way. They met at a common party and hit it off right away, and nothing more is brewing between the two. Gill has made peace with the rumours since he has accepted that it is part and parcel of the cricketer’s life.
